Privacy Policy
Last updated September 2026
GuestSpot ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
Account details (name, email, phone), profile information (sports, schedule, home gym or venue, photos), and usage data needed to operate the service.
How we use it
To verify your identity, match you with workout partners, enable messaging and guest passes, and keep the community safe.
Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if you disable them.
Third-party services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate GuestSpot, including email delivery, phone verification, hosting, and analytics services. These providers process data only as needed to perform their service for us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Sharing
Profile information you choose to make visible is shown to other verified members. We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention
We keep your account and profile information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal, safety, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Data security & breach notification
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. If a breach occurs that affects your personal data, we will notify affected users and any relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile, and contact us at any time to request deletion of your data.
California residents (CCPA)
GuestSpot complies with applicable privacy laws based on your location, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of that information, and opt out of the sale of personal information — though GuestSpot does not sell personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us.
Children's privacy
GuestSpot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Users between 13 and 17 may only use GuestSpot with parental or guardian consent, and are automatically restricted to matching with other users in their own age group — never with adults. If we learn that we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 is using GuestSpot, please contact us.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
